Georgette Liberator's painting Birch In Winter Her college professors referred to her as a "natural painter" and enrolled her in a six-week Honors Program "Master's Workshop in Art". Prominent artists from the East End (the Hamptons) and New York City invited students into their studios, critiqued their work and were present at their workshops. Among the artists were such notables as Larry Rivers, Elaine de Kooning and Roy Lichtenstein.

She studied oils and watercolors privately for two years with the Hungarian artist Steven Rettegi (once a student of Oscar Kokoshka) at his Locust Valley Atelier in New York, and attended the Art Students League in New York City where she studied Life Drawing, Anatomy and Composition with Gustav Rehberger, Fine Arts Illustration with Earl Mayan, and Oil Painting with David Leffel the subject of the book Oil Painting Secrets From a Master. Later she participated in a three-day workshop with Peter London, author of No More Second Hand Art.

She journeyed to St. Petersburg, Russia, to view Hidden Treasures Revealed, Impressionist masterpieces and other important French paintings preserved by the State Hermitage Museum and not publicly viewed since World War II.

More recently she visited New York City to attend a Pastel Workshop conducted by internationally known artist Wolf Kahn, whose philosophy of art and painting concepts have had a significant influence on her current work.
